When you power on the gear360 for the first time the display will light up with icons and numbers. you can also select settings where you can change resolution, timer and toggle between dual camera or single front or back camera. the menu button scrolls through the camera modes, which include photo, video and time-lapse. hold the back button down to turn the camera on/off. the back button navigates back in the menus as you would expect, but it also serves as the power button. the buttons are labeled Back, Menu, & OK.
The Gear 360 can be used as a stand alone camera, using the built in three button interface and display. Thanks to for the early access to this amazing device.

Right now I see my Gear 360 VR as a very expensive paper weight and lousy action cam.Ĭurrently replacing my ActionDirector software (was the January release but showed as current) with most recent release on the Samsung site.The Samsung Gear 360 VR camera is now available and it's amazing. Is there a basic step I am failing to follow even after comlpeting the tutorials, step by step, several times in the past 5 hours? Has there been a change to some software or process that has caused this? I have updated all software on both camera and laptop while trying to sort a solution in the past 5 hours. Past videos have been converted to 360 VR video with minimal fuss but it has been 30+ days since I did a conversion. I have tried ALL combinations I can work out but still no change. While in the ActionDirector software is shows the clips as a 360 VR video when it is published it only converts as a panoramic video. I now also have an issue with my SM-C200 Gear 360 camera and ActionDirector software unable to convirt video images into 360 VR video. Try copying the files from the menory card to your computer and then stitching from there. I can't try because of my older camcorder.
My friend has a new one and she was able to do the stitching with the new download. Have you used the Action Director that came with the camcorder. However, they are in the unstiched "two large globes on a black background" format.ĭidn't you ask this in a different thread? Did you read my answer there? The videos are shot with a second-generation Samsung 360 camera, and I know the videos are shot correctly in a valid format because they are playable. The videos you are going to stitch come from the 360°-Samsung camera or from another camera?
